WOODEN TECHNOLOGIES

When designing and creating log houses or timber frame houses, “3 RADI” offers high quality, durable and visually pleasing building constructions with a wide range of design possibilities. Our design, different architectural styles and construction joints are exactly what makes our projects unique among other designers and manufacturers.
A wide range of design possibilities and wooden building technologies are possible for both log houses and timber frame houses.
For log beam houses: 90mm-140mm-190mm would be the dimensions for the thickness of walls, although most often the beam height is 190mm. Therefore, as the thickness of the wall is altered, the visual aspect of the project does not change much, and that is because the height of the beams stays the same.
Heavy timber frame buildings: a technique, in which the load-bearing wall and roof structures are made of massive wooden beams with the dimensions 100-150mm x 150-200mm. The beams are connected in an ancient carpentry joint technique, called ‘Post & Beam’ constructions.  The massive frame of the walls is supplemented with a thermal insulation frame and an outer board cladding. The range of possibilities is wide in terms of the materials used for insulation – and inner wall finish choices too.
We have built joint technology buildings as well – most often those would be heavy frame buildings with log beam filling, however, each of the projects ended up unique in their own way, different from others. We are still looking for the perfect combination of these techniques.
The careful design work and the selection of materials – quality dried (18%) and planed pine and spruce wood materials guarantee compliance with the highest standards of the industry. A drawing is developed for each element of the building, so the drawings could be used for further detail production and creation in the workshop.
Each numbered part is assembled separately at the construction site, in the intended mounting order according to the assemble drawings. Once the assemble is complete for the timber frame construction of the building – as well as the exterior cladding – the owner of the building can insulate the building and complete the interior finish.
More than 60 architectural sketch projects are available in the 3 RADI web page section  – houses, guest houses, country side houses, farm houses, holiday houses, summer houses, cottages, cabins, campers, garden houses, guest cottages, saunas, gazebos, sheds, barbecue gazebos, garages, car ports, barns, as well as other wooden structures.
Expense estimates are sent on request for the ‘Building set’ and approximate total construction costs are estimated. If You find it difficult to find the ideal design or floorplan layout for You among our listed projects, feel free to reach out to us and we can create one individually.
A selection of standard designs are available on the web-site as well, where the architectural sketches of the projects can be purchased. The components of an architectural project – 3D sketches, 3D plans, building elevations, foundation plans, floorplans, sections and construction plans – is all that is necessary to embed the project into your plot of land.
Individual project designing is an additional opportunity to create an individual project according to your wishes. More information about individual designs is available in the section of our web-page.  You can easily reach out to us about wish for creating Your individual design with our help by contacting us through e-mail or by filling out the .
For constructors: We kindly invite You – with the goal of easing Your workload – to trust us with designing and creating heavy building frames, log constructions and roof constructions, and doing the rest of needed work on Your own. Judging from our experience – this will ease the workload and make the client very happy with the final result.
